CDR Parks and Chaplain Cowan Travel to Norwood for Ceremony

    Friday, April 13, 2012 saw State CDR Olin Parks and State Chaplain Nancy Cowan on the road for many long hours from their respective homes to meet in Willow Springs, Mo before finishing their journey together to the little town of Norwood.  The purpose of their trips was to take part in an important Bridge Dedication Ceremony.  The overpass bridge over Highway 60 was being dedicated to Pvt Ova A Kelley who received the Medal of Honor posthumously for actions on Leyte during WWII.


    State Chaplain Nancy Cowan of Wentzville VFW Post 5327 was invited to give the opening prayer and to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

    State Commander Olin Parks was invited to speak during the bridge dedication ceremony.
