Quincy Myrick

VFW Department of Missouri

It is my desire to serve Veterans and their families.  I am running for Surgeon for the State of Missouri with that exact intention.  I have held various positions at the Post, District, and State levels.  I have embraced each position with passion and a strong desire to excel.  Also, with each position I believed in the oath that I took and have done my best to uphold all that it stands for.  It is with this same conviction that I am seeking the position of Surgeon and I look forward to meeting comrades throughout the State to introduce myself.

If elected Surgeon, I will meet the challenge with intelligence, passion, strength and integrity.  I will carry out the duties expected and gladly take on new duties relative to the position.  I will report my findings to my superior officers as well as the membership of the VFW Dept. of Mo.

I served in the U.S. Army for 4 years as a Personnel Management Specialist.  I was stationed at Ft. Hood TX, Camp Casey Korea, and Ft. Riley KS.

I am a Gold Legacy Life Member of Post 1831 in De Soto and reside in House Springs with my husband Bill.

I work for USDA as a supervisor in the Customer Service Department and will be retiring in 2020 with 25 years of service.

At the Post level, I have held the positions of Adjutant, Trustee, Jr. Vice Commander, Sr. Vice Commander, and All-State Commander.

On the District level I have held the positions of Adjutant, Jr. Vice Commander, Sr. Vice Commander, and All-State Commander.

I have been the Buddy Poppy and National Home Chairman on both the District and State levels.  Currently I hold the position of Voice of Democracy/Patriot’s Pen chairman for Department of Missouri.

I have also been awarded the National Aide De Camp two years.

I look forward to continuing my service to Veterans and hope you will consider me for the position of Surgeon for the 2019-2020 year.
